Lai Kwan Low is a commercial litigation lawyer, and joined mdp in 2010. She studied
at the University of Melbourne, obtaining degrees in commerce and law.
Lai Kwan has significant litigation experience in a number of jurisdictions. She
has represented her clients in commercial disputes including contractual and partnership
disputes. She also has expertise in a range of commercial law areas. She advises
on matters from corporate restructuring to contractual disputes and compliance issues,
assisting commercial clients to conduct their business smoothly and in compliance
with their legal obligations.
Aside from her commercial litigation work, Lai Kwan reviews a variety of commercial
contracts to ensure they are used effectively. She is also able to draft a variety
of commercial agreements, including franchise agreements, shareholders’ agreements,
supply agreements and management agreements.
In addition, Lai Kwan has worked on numerous property matters involving the acquisition
and sale of residential and development property and has completed applications
to the ACCC and the Foreign Investment Review Board on behalf of clients.
Lai Kwan has a Malaysian background and speaks fluent Mandarin, Cantonese and Bahasa
Malaysia as well as English.
