Sarah Cameron is an intellectual property and commercial lawyer, and joined mdp
in 2010. Originally from Sydney, Sarah studied at the University of New South Wales
and obtained degrees in Law and Arts (completing Honours in English).
Sarah works on a range of trade mark and brand protection matters, assisting commercial
clients to identify and protect their intellectual property assets for the benefit
of their businesses. She also provides legal advice in relation to a range of commercial
matters, including business acquisitions, operational contracts and corporate structuring.
Sarah has developed expertise in commercial, property and tourism law advising a
range of hotel owners and managers, including Hyatt and Marriott. Her experience
includes advising on business purchases, company structures and commercial contracts,
as well as on real estate acquisitions and leases. She has conducted due diligence
for a number of major commercial transactions and has assisted corporate clients
to meet their compliance obligations.
Sarah has also worked on litigation matters in relation to various commercial disputes,
and has experience in drafting range of commercial agreements, including business
sale agreements, employment contracts, and intellectual property licences.
In addition to her work at mdp, Sarah is currently studying towards a Master of
Laws. Her experience as a musician and as the manager of an independent theatre
company gives her an appreciation for her clients’ commercial needs, allowing her
to provide targeted advice to your business.
