Firefox Industries Pty Ltd Nominated for Health and Safety Invention of the Year

Gavin Doherty | October 10th, 2016

Bayswater-based Firefox Industries Pty Ltd (Firefox) has developed an innovative safety device for use with ladders in gaining access to and from an elevated roof surface.  The device gives users the ability to walk through the upper end of the ladder so as to maintain their centre of gravity within the confines of the ladder, as opposed to the traditional means for stepping around the ladder to access a roof or other structure.  Such a device can be fitted to existing ladders to transform a conventional ladder to a walkthrough ladder in a convenient and cost effective manner.

Having successfully applied for an international patent application for the concept, it is great validation for Bill Benic and his team at Firefox to have received the nomination, as there were only four finalists for such an important and prestigious prize.

mdp’s Patent Director Gavin Doherty was delighted to attend the event and support Bill and the team on the night.

Once again, mdp is thrilled to work with innovative clients such as Firefox and wishes them continued success.
