Positioning for Success in China: Creating Valuable Intellectual Property Assets

Janice Yew | March 15th, 2016

mdp and our overseas associate in China Liuming International, Beijing, recently presented a special breakfast seminar to clients entitled:

“Positioning for success in China: Creating valuable intellectual property assets”.

mdp Senior Associate Alana Long was joined by Wei Xin and Graham Brown (founders of Liuming International) to deliver an exclusive insight into what it takes to ‘get it right’ in China (a region that is often viewed with skepticism by Australian IP owners), including:

  • IP protection, enforcement and commercialisation in the region; and
  • key tips and traps for doing business in China and attributing value to Chinese IP assets.

Due to the success of this event, the two firms plan to present further seminars together in the future.

If you would like to receive further information, please contact Alana Long by email on For details on other upcoming events you can also subscribe to our mailing list or see mdp’s website.
