Janice joined mdp in 2013 as a law clerk while completing her Juris Doctor at the University of Melbourne. In 2015, she came onboard full-time as a law graduate and started working in the firm’s property, commercial and intellectual property practices.
Originally from Malaysia, Janice moved to Melbourne to study and graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce in 2011. While completing her studies, she undertook subjects in multiple disciplines including finance, management, economics and actuarial science.
In 2014, Janice completed an exchange semester at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Law. At UCLA, she had the opportunity to study a broad range of subjects, including Sports Law, International Finance and Law and Practice with the Hollywood Guilds. Janice was also involved in the 38th Annual UCLA Entertainment Symposium as a volunteer and participant.
Outside of the law, Janice has a passion for tennis. During her tenure as the Co-President of the Melbourne University Tennis Club, Janice led a team of 15 committee members to provide support and organise events and tournaments for over 300 members. Janice also provided support for the Wilson and Luxilon stringing teams at the Australian Open in Melbourne and the Sony Open Tennis in Miami, Florida.
